Welcome to Becoming Earth
In a time that feels increasingly uncertain, loud, and fragmented, Becoming Earth is an invitation to slow down and ground ourselves in the living world.
We believe that spending unhurried time outdoors—through all seasons and turns of the year—should be a more ordinary part of life.
Whether gathered in the woodlands, under the shelter of a roundhouse, listening to birdsong, or taking in the wide views across the land, we make space to share time, presence, and attentive care.
The land offers a reliable, low-pressure container to step off the treadmill, drop the need to perform, and simply be as we are.
“An invisible structure that supports us without needing to make worldly comparisons... I can feel more calm the minute I arrive.”

Ways to Participate...

Community Gatherings
Informed by Natural Academy’s NatureWell approach, our community nature-based sessions offer an open, unhurried space to gather, spend time on the land, and share experiences alongside our team of practitioners.
“I love the laughter, learning new skills, and the chance to open yourself in a safe space. It gives me a sense of optimism for the future.”

Natural Self Ecotherapy (NSET)
Alongside our group gatherings, Jason offers 1:1 ecotherapy for those seeking a quieter, dedicated space on the land.
Grounded in Natural Self Ecotherapy (NSET), being outdoors allows the nervous system to settle, making it easier to meet what is already present. These sessions offer a steady, supported way to explore inner patterns and navigate life’s transitions—not to fix what is broken, but to make room for aliveness, restoration, and wholeness.
“Jason's use of the natural world as a reflective tool has been incredibly grounding... gentle insights into my feelings, yet never afraid to challenge an ingrained way of thinking.”

Thresholds
Beyond our regular community sessions, we are visioning dedicated threshold offerings on the Mendip hills—longer day immersions and overnight vigils that can support life transitions, deeper purpose and meaning and space.
These deeper containers are taking shape quietly. If you are sitting with a significant threshold or wish to explore immersive work, we welcome early conversations.

The Places We Gather
All of our work takes place on the land.
Different places have different things to offer. Some invite gathering and community. Others offer reflection and sanctuary. Some call us into longer and more immersive relationships with the land itself.
As Becoming Earth continues to grow, we hope to develop relationships with a range of places and landscapes, while finding ways of giving something back to the lands that make this work possible.
Why This Matters
At Becoming Earth, we are interested in the relationship between human flourishing and the flourishing of the wider living world.
Research increasingly suggests that these are not separate. The quality of our relationship with nature influences our health, wellbeing, sense of belonging, meaning and purpose, while also shaping how we care for and participate in the world around us.
Some of the benefits associated with a deeper relationship with the living world include:

Time spent in natural environments can help regulate the nervous system, supporting calm, relaxation and recovery from stress.
Nervous System Recovery

Natural environments can provide a sense of grounding and restoration, helping people navigate challenges with greater steadiness.
Enhanced Emotional Resilience

Care for the Living World
As relationships with the living world deepen, people often develop a greater sense of care, responsibility and commitment towards the places and ecosystems that sustain us.

Belonging & Purpose
Experiences in nature can strengthen feelings of belonging, connection and relationship with something larger than ourselves.
