Natural Self Ecotherapy (NSET)

Would you value a quieter space to meet what’s happening in your life, held in relationship with the natural world?

Natural Self Ecotherapy is a structured therapeutic approach that takes place in natural settings and is held within a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space.

NAtural Self

Being outdoors often helps people settle, breathe and feel more connected to the wider living world. Within that, guided therapeutic work can help people turn more fully toward their inner experience — not because guidance is always needed, but because being accompanied by someone can make it easier to access the deeper resources already within them.

Whether we meet outdoors at Ham Green or online, Ecotherapy offers a supported way of exploring the inner patterns shaped by past experience or present demands.

Some of these patterns protect us, some hold old stories, and some simply want more room. Through this supported work, people often find a movement toward aliveness, belonging and a more grounded way of participating in the wider web of life.

Why it might be for you

People come for many reasons. Often something in life is asking for attention, care or a different way of being.

This might include:

  • stress, anxiety or feeling overwhelmed

  • grief, loss or significant change

  • fatherhood and caring responsibilities

  • questions of identity, meaning or purpose

  • burnout or exhaustion

  • a sense of being stuck or disconnected from yourself

  • wanting time outdoors in a meaningful, supported way

Many people arrive with a simple sense that something in them is ready for support, reflection or change.

What is NSET Ecotherapy?

Natural Self Ecotherapy (NSET) is a trauma‑informed, ecocentric therapeutic approach developed through the Natural Academy. Sessions take place outdoors in the grounds and surrounding landscapes of Ham Green Centre, weaving together therapeutic relationship, reflective practice and engagement with the wider living world.

Being outdoors supports settling and spaciousness. The therapeutic work itself happens through guided attention, relational presence and exploring what emerges in the moment. Sessions may involve walking, sitting, talking, reflecting and noticing what arises through relationship with place.

For those who prefer or need it, sessions can also take place online, offering the same guided support in a different setting.

Integration

We begin by simply being. Guided grounding helps us settle and arrive.

Through walking, sitting and reflective conversation, we explore what is present in your life and what may be asking for care, attention or understanding.

The wider living community can offer mirrors, metaphors and moments of insight, helping us to understand ourselves, our challenges and our place in the world in different ways.

We close with a moment of gratitude and a 'harvest' of insights. You leave with practical ways to carry this grounded connection into your daily life.

A Few Practical Things

  • Our physical meetings are held at Ham Green Centre in Pill (BS20). The site includes parking and is served by Bristol’s X4 bus route.

  • While we utilize accessible paths, some work occurs on varied terrain. Your physical requirements will guide how we adapt each session.

  • We embrace the elements by meeting in most weather, ensuring that your safety and personal comfort remain our primary considerations.
  • For online sessions, we both remain outdoors in areas with strong signals for video calls.

  • I provide a free 30-minute introductory call.

Sessions & Contribution

Ecotherapy sessions are shaped around your needs and can take place outdoors, online, or through a blended approach.
Many people find that 75–90 minutes offers enough time to slow down, arrive, and work more deeply, though 60-minute sessions are also available.

Outdoor Ecotherapy

60 minutes – £60
75 minutes – £75
90 minutes – £90

Online Sessions

60 minutes – £50

I don't want cost to be a barrier to anyone accessing ecotherapy. In line with our CIC ethos, reduced rates can be explored where needed, so that sessions remain accessible and sustainable for both of all.

Getting Started

I offer a free introductory phone conversation. It’s a chance to explore what’s bringing you to ecotherapy, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of whether working together feels right.
